Always one of my favorite spots when visiting Vegas. Coffee is excellent and the book selection is excellent. They always have a great book I've never heard of! Wide range from fiction, non fiction, cookbooks, sci fi, fantasy, romance, thriller, mystery, young adult and kids.

It is surprising how far back this goes. If you love books, this is for you. If you love chocolate, there is a fun surprise for you. If you love coffee and good vibes in general, a must go to. Note not the most comfortable seats for relaxing or working more for drink, snack, and browsing.

The Writer’s Block is located in the downtown Arts District, and it’s such an adorable bookstore/coffeehouse. If you’re looking for real coffee — not the overly sweet stuff like Dutch Bros — this is absolutely the place. The coffee is strong, inexpensive, and actually tastes like coffee. You can also get a little nibble to eat, which I really appreciate. This place is LGBTQ-friendly for sure, and it’s decorated so cute and thoughtfully. There’s so much to look at. They have all kinds of books, and while it’s a bit of a tight squeeze, it’s beautifully done and totally makes up for it. One thing I didn’t love: the chairs at the tables weren’t very comfortable, especially if you’re on the thicker or bigger side. That was probably my only real complaint. The staff wasn’t overly smiley or chatty, but they do take care of you, and that’s what matters. I also liked that they have a separate little area where you can order and pay for a book, then pick it up at the front without having to wander through the bookstore again. There are only a few tables — probably around 10 spots total where you can actually sit and work or study — so I’d recommend getting there early if that’s your plan. Overall, this is a definite must-see. I really liked this place and would absolutely go back. Highly recommend.

I've been trying to find a specific book at every library in Las Vegas. Every time I've been told that it's on already checked out and 2 people have it on hold for when it's returned! In my frustration I looked up local book shops on Google, and The Writer's Block popped up. I did not know this place even existed, and I'm elated that I found it. They had my book plus another book that sparked my interest. The cutest bunny was chilling inside of the shop. The theme is immaculate and they have a café the serves all kind of drinks.

I'm a huge bookworm, so discovering there was an independent bookstore off the strip was a huge win for me. This bookstore has a small coffee shop in the front where you can get coffee drinks, tea and various baked goods. The bookstore itself has a wide variety of genres to choose from. Romance, mystery, fantasy, biographies, graphic novels, list goes on and on. Their prices are reasonable. I bought two sci-fi novels and a graphic novel the first time I visited, and paid around $65. And they do have a rewards program. This store also hosts several book clubs, each with a different theme. Check their website for dates and times. One thing to note, this is a very cozy store with limited space, but not so limited that it feels claustrophobic. The store does not have a parking lot, but street parking is available which is free on weekends and major holidays. And it is also next door to The Beverly Theater, a small arthouse theater showing independent films, international films, and Hollywood classics.

I'm a book dragon. Could spend hours on a Barnes n Noble. This place is stunning. There's a sculpture out front. You can get drinks and sit inside or outside. There's a HUGE birdcage. As you walk further in it's like walking down a street, there's even a street lamp. Books are everywhere. On shelves and tables. There's a reall bunny. As you walk and explore; make sure you not only look around but also look up. You'll feel as if you've been transported elsewhere.

My absolute favorite bookstore. I love the design and the atmosphere. It is so unique and cozy but don’t let the size fool you, there are sooooo many books. And it’s laid out so well, not small at all! One of my favorite features is the discount book cart they have, I always find amazing gems on that cart. Also being able to grab a coffee or tea and sit in the little cafe to read your newly purchased treasure, or grab your coffee to wonder the stacks.

Such a beautiful magical place. Drinks are 9/10 My husband loved the tropical smoothie, daughter loved her hot chocolate but I feel like the coffee I ordered could have a bit more taste.

For those who love bookstores! Walking into this store was like walking into Wonderland itself. You would've thought I was the Cheshire Cat, grinning from ear to ear as I looked at the menagerie of books. With every turn, I entered into a genre that was creatively decorated to help avid readers know what to expect. As if reading a book, I turned into the next adventure, not knowing what to expect but excited with anticipation as to what I would see. It was as if the books finally had a room of their own to showcase their beauty inside. Take the time to visit this small store, but don't judge a book by its cover. It's not a huge store. You do have to pay for parking but as my son said. "Mom, you're going to want to pay for an hour minimum. Trust me." Parking doesn't cost much. Location could be better. They do have a small café right as you enter and then...down the rabbit hole. Apologize later and buy the books that make you happy!

Absolutely gorgeous store and cafe. The staff are super nice and helpful. I wish I had more time to spend here. I got some lovely gifts back home!! Came to attend the BTS World Tour Arirang Las Vegas concert and got to visit this gem of a place. I want to visit again if I ever come to Las Vegas. 👏🏽 Note: The cafe closes at 4pm, however the bookstore itself closes at 7pm so plan accordingly if you want to have some relaxing time in the cafe as well. They have a few seating tables and chair right after you enter. I didn't use the wifi but they have one if I correct.
